Florida trash & recycling pickup day by address
Type a Florida address to see which days garbage, recycling and yard waste are picked up, read from the county’s own route data, and who collects. Where a county doesn’t publish its days, you get who collects and the official lookup instead.

Where the days come from
24 counties, cities and haulers publish their collection routes as public map data, and this tool reads them, in 20 counties: Miami-Dade, Hillsborough, Palm Beach, Orange, Lee, Volusia, Seminole, Sarasota, Collier, Manatee, Broward, Brevard, Osceola, Alachua, St. Lucie, Escambia, Clay, Flagler, Highlands and Walton. Where a county and a city both publish, the county’s routes are checked first and then the city’s. Each county’s data reaches only part of it, because cities usually run their own collection:
| County | Where the route data reaches |
|---|---|
| Miami-Dade | the unincorporated county and the cities the county’s Department of Solid Waste Management serves |
| Hillsborough | the unincorporated county |
| Palm Beach | every parcel the Solid Waste Authority lists with a service day, plus the City of Lake Worth Beach |
| Orange | the City of Orlando only |
| Lee | the county’s franchise areas, plus the City of Fort Myers |
| Volusia | the county’s service areas, plus the City of DeLand; the county names the provider everywhere else |
| Seminole | parcels the county collects from |
| Sarasota | the south county franchise area (FCC Environmental) |
| Collier | the county’s service districts |
| Manatee | the county’s collection routes, plus the City of Palmetto |
| Broward | the Broward Municipal Services District (the unincorporated areas) |
| Brevard | the City of Cocoa only |
| Osceola | the City of St. Cloud only |
| Alachua | the City of Gainesville only |
| St. Lucie | the unincorporated county (FCC Environmental’s zones) |
| Escambia | homes the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) collects from |
| Clay | the county’s franchise area (FCC Environmental) |
| Flagler | the unincorporated county (Waste Pro) |
| Highlands | the county’s collection area outside the cities |
| Walton | the unincorporated county (Waste Management) |
For every other address, the tool shows how homes outside city limits get service and the county’s official page, from our Florida trash pickup study of all 67 counties. Inside a city, the city or its hauler collects, so check the city’s website.
Before you rely on a day
- Holidays: holiday weeks can move pickup by a day, and this tool doesn’t show holiday changes. Check the official lookup around holidays.
- Every other week: Miami-Dade picks up recycling every other week. The result shows the county’s calendar week (A, B or C) so you can match it to the county’s calendar.
- One cart in Manatee: since October 6, 2025, Manatee County picks up garbage, recycling and yard waste together, once a week.
- Data age: each result shows when the source data was last updated, when the source says. A few maps haven’t been updated in over two years, and the result says so when that happens. Routes change, so the county’s or hauler’s own lookup is the final word.
- Cities: in St. Lucie and Walton counties, a parcel inside a city’s tax district gets a pointer to the city instead of the county’s day, because the county’s map doesn’t cover city collection.
Moving in?
Most counties bill garbage service on the property tax bill as a solid-waste assessment. The closing cost estimate shows the pickup days for the home you’re buying next to its tax bill and closing costs.
Privacy: the address search runs in your browser against the U.S. Census geocoder and the Florida Department of Revenue parcel map. To read the pickup days, ParcelMath sends only the public parcel number to the county’s route map, never the address, and doesn’t keep it.
