What to write about

• A figure that looks wrong. Tell us the page, the number, and where you saw a different one. If the primary source agrees with you, we fix it and the page shows a new verified-as-of date. Our About page explains how figures are sourced and kept current.
• A county changed something. Millage rates, filing deadlines, and record links change. A tip that a county moved its records or set a new rate helps every reader in that county.
• A tool that misbehaves. Say what you typed, what you expected, and what you got, plus your browser and device if you know them. The tools run in your browser, so we can't see your inputs unless you send them.
• A calculator or guide you wish existed. Several of the tools here started as a reader question.
• Privacy questions. The privacy page covers what the site does and doesn't collect. Ask if anything there is unclear.

What we can't do by email

We can't give advice about your own taxes, legal situation, or loan, and we can't look up or change a property record. For those, your county property appraiser and tax collector are the official sources. Every county page links to them, and the tax lookup links to any county's official record and current bill.

Please don't email Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive personal details. We never need them.
