Florida USDA eligibility lookup — check any address

Type a Florida address and see whether it sits in an eligible area on USDA Rural Development's Single Family Housing map, then check household income against that county's limit. Both answers come from USDA's own data. Runs in your browser; nothing you enter is collected.

Informational only — not a USDA determination. The tool checks one geocoded point against USDA's ineligible-area map, and USDA updates those boundaries often. A home near a boundary can come out either way, so for anything decision-grade use USDA's property eligibility site (choose Single Family Housing Guaranteed). The lender confirms eligibility on the loan.

Check the income half

USDA's guaranteed loan has a household income limit for each county: one for households of 1 to 4 people, a higher one for 5 to 8. It counts the income of everyone who will live in the home, not just the borrowers, after small deductions.

Limits read from USDA's income eligibility worksheet, October 2026, for all 67 counties. Deductions used: $500 per dependent and $550 for a family whose applicant is 62 or older or disabled, as USDA's worksheet applies them. USDA re-sets the limits every year.

The two halves of USDA eligibility

  1. The property: an eligible area

The lookup above answers this half. USDA marks some areas ineligible, mostly the urban cores; everything outside them is eligible.

  2. The household: under the income limit

Household income must be under USDA's limit for your county and household size. The income check above answers it; for childcare or medical deductions, use USDA's income eligibility worksheet. Both halves must pass.

What else to know

USDA guaranteed loans are for primary residences, through participating lenders. The USDA loans in Florida guide covers the program, and the flood zone lookup and property-tax estimator round out what a rural purchase costs to carry.

Quick answers

How do I know if an address is USDA eligible?

Type it above. The tool finds the address with the U.S. Census geocoder, then checks that point against USDA Rural Development's own map of ineligible areas for single-family housing. Outside those areas, the property half of the test is met.

Is USDA eligibility only about the property?

No. There are two halves: the property must be in an eligible area, and household income must be under the limit for your county and household size. The income check on this page answers the second half.

What is the USDA income limit in Florida?

For a USDA guaranteed loan, most Florida counties allow $122,800 of adjusted household income for 1 to 4 people and $162,100 for 5 to 8. Metro counties run higher, up to $164,800 in Monroe County. The limit counts everyone in the household, not just the borrowers.

Can a Florida suburb be USDA eligible?

Often, yes. USDA's ineligible areas mostly follow the urban cores, so many towns and suburbs outside Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and South Florida's core are in eligible areas. The lines can change street to street, so check the exact address.

Is this a USDA eligibility determination?

No. It reads USDA's published map data for one geocoded point. The lender confirms eligibility on the loan, and USDA's own property eligibility site controls.
